Pre-Professional Programs

Undergraduate tracks designed to lead into professional school (law, medicine, business).

Deep Dive & Explanation

"Pre-med" and "pre-law" are not majors — they are course tracks you follow alongside any major. Pre-professional programs provide advising, research opportunities, and clinical/shadowing hours that prepare you for professional school applications.

Myth vs. Reality

Myth: "Pre-med has to be a biology major." Reality: Medical schools accept any major as long as you complete the prerequisite courses (organic chemistry, physics, biology, etc.).

Why it matters

You do not need to major in biology to go to med school, or political science to go to law school. In fact, humanities majors have similar or higher med-school acceptance rates than biology majors. Pick a major you genuinely enjoy and complete the pre-professional requirements on the side.
